December General Membership Meeting

NOTE: Location change! This month's meeting will be held at SEIU Local 721 at 1545 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles,  from 10:00 am -Noon. The Los Angeles County Federation of Labor is undergoing some renovations, so our brothers and sisters at SEIU Local 721 have graciously opened up their meeting space to us. The meeting will be in the Auditorium. Validated parking is available in the underground structure located just north of Wilshire on S. Union Street, there is also metered street parking.

The agenda will include:
  • A special presentation by Darrin Thompson, Organizer with the Communications Workers of America, District 9. We are very fortunate to be joined by Darrin, who will give a presentation focusing on the negative health impacts of the TPP and how its passage would effect future health and environmental outcomes for people and the planet.
  • Re-affiliation drive updates.
Please allow extra time for traffic and parking! We want to begin the meeting at 10:00 am sharp because on that same day there will be a Convergence for Real Climate Action in downtown L.A. at Pershing Square from 11:30-12:30 p.m. We can attend the rally after our Labor United meeting, by carpooling, or catching the Metro bus downtown to Pershing Square. Bus fare is $1.75 one way.

Please call 213.252.1351 with any questions, or email us at info@laborforhealthcare.org.
